Ed Desmond brings over three decades of experience in government affairs, policy development, and business management accomplishments spanning Capitol Hill, trade associations, and the corporate sector.

Mr. Desmond has extensive experience in global manufacturing, particularly in product safety, intellectual property protection, consumer products, environmental sustainability, trade, and regulatory compliance. Formerly the Executive Vice President of Global Government & Regulatory Affairs at the Toy Association, Mr. Desmond established the organization's first Washington, DC office and built a comprehensive global government affairs program. He helped launch the Congressional Toy Caucus and created the industry's first PAC – demonstrating his ability to enhance industry influence and engagement with policymakers.

Mr. Desmond’s experience includes working in corporations and associations on business management matters ranging from strategic planning to budgeting to staffing to governance and more. Additionally, his skills in crisis management and public relations helped protect consumer-facing companies often scrutinized by governments and media.

Mr. Desmond began his career as Legislative Counsel to a senior member of the House Judiciary and International Relations Committees, providing valuable insider knowledge of the legislative process. He earned J.D. from the California Western School of Law, and a B.A., Public Administration, from the University of Hartford.
